April 10, 1998—Lansing, Michigan—Phoenix Advertising, an in-house public relations and advertising services division of Phoenix Publishing International, Inc. of Lansing (parent firm to PROFILES MAGAZINE), announced today its plans to design and produce PROFILES MAGAZINE, mid-Michigan’s most widely distributed consumer magazine. "Having our magazine completely designed and produced by our company’s in-house division will greatly enhance our control over the artistic appearance of the publication. It will also allow us to market our graphics and production capabilities to the mid-Michigan business community as well," said Executive Editor, Robert A. Robinson. "We see that opportunity as an excellent way for us to bolster sales revenues as we continue our growth as an affiliated publishing firm," he added.
As part of the new production arrangement, PROFILES MAGAZINE will undergo a complete renovation of its design and appearance. "We felt it was time for us to sport a new look," said Carmen Hall, Director of Marketing for the firm. " Something more reflective of the world class publication that we’ve become. Readers should watch for our June issue. We’re really going for the wow factor in our design. Our readers are going to love our new look."
"Not that there was anything wrong with our old look," stated Robinson at a recent press conference announcing the new plans. "It has served us well these past six or seven years. Grafix Network of Holt, our previous graphic arts studio does exceptional work and we will continue to work with them on many of our projects and on our web-based magazine. We felt, however, that it was time for us to focus more resolutely on our own abilities for producing top-notch publications and graphics. We have some very creative and artistic people here and we’re very excited."
PROFILES MAGAZINE is a monthly, full service consumer magazine distributed freely at 700 locations throughout the greater Lansing area.
