| The City of Marysville Planning Commission has provided its residents with exceptional community planning guidance with the assistance of Vilican-Leman & Associates for over 19 years. With more than four linear miles of frontage along the St. Clair River, the City is tied to the maritime and industrial history of the State of Michigan. Over the years, Vilican-Leman and the City have worked together to preserve this waterfront and provide residents with recreational opportunities and access to the Great Lakes. Projects resulting from the active planning program include the City of Marysville River Front Park and the River Walk, an extensive bike path and sidewalk system. The River Walk provides access to the St. Clair River and to other communities through the countywide Bay to Bridge Trail. |

| Vilican-Leman is currently working with the Planning Commission and Community Development Director Daniel Coss on updating the City’s Master Plan for Future Land Use. This process will revise sections of the plan relating to demographics, land use and residential densities and will place emphasis on identifying specific areas for redevelopment or adaptive reuse within the community. Through the last nineteen years, the City of Marysville has been a superb example of sound planning and community policy. |
